Characterization of released dust over open waters in the south of the Iran Plateau based on satellite and ground-based measurements

Satellite recordings by CALIPSO and Aqua-MODIS, available data on the Aerosol Robotic Net-work (AERONET), synoptic stations have been used to investigate dust storms over Persian Gulf Oman Sea from January 2007 December 2019. We found that depo-larization of lidar signals atmospheric particles is quite sensitive their origins (deserts, or alluvial sediments). In set, depolarization just thickness an aerosol layer called as integrated ratio (IPDR). The IPDR MODIS optical depth (AOD) mentioned waters are in correlation with changes wind pattern region activities different sources neighborhoods waters. This investigation shows highest values belong which originating Arabian Peninsula impacting almost all regions south Iran Plateau February May. Also, these under considerable influence Mesopotamian at east side plateau. These composed sediments, for rising them, not high those desert. Even though intense plumes raised East impact very frequently summertime, but largest desert spring.
